Sales
  • Develop sales strategy including internal and external marketing activities to achieve lead generation, referrals, and membership sales.  
  • Ensure execution of annual membership plans through analysis and monthly reporting
  • Identify target demographics and community groups for acquisition campaigns. 
  • Work with department heads in generating seasonal acquisition and retention sales campaigns
  • Generate new leads through cold calling and business to business prospecting

Seeking Group Fitness/HIIT Instructors! We are seeking fitness professionals who have previous teaching experience and who have a passion for making fitness fun. There is a need for instructors who have experience in any and all of the following genres – HIIT based classes. Kickboxing, Zumba, Sculpt, Yoga and Pilates.

The Group Fitness Instructor will lead members, in a socially distanced group environment, through a pre-arranged format of exercises designed to enhance overall fitness, strength and endurance, while ensuring that the safety of the members is not compromised.

Pre-class Preparation:

Arrive at class location 10 to 15 minutes ahead of scheduled start time to be available to interact with members, answer questions, inquire about their fitness progress, introduce and orient new participants. Group Exercise Instructors should know their participants on an individual basis and have a good sense of their fitness capabilities.

Clothing should be appropriate fitness attire. The Roth Family Jewish community Center will provide a JCC branded fitness shirt that you will be required to wear while instructing. Proper footwear should be worn at all times.

Prepare appropriate music for class. Inappropriate and offensive music is prohibited. Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and have microphones ready.

During Class Responsibilities:

Introduce yourself and the format of the class.
Inquire if there are any “first-timers” in the group and if so, assess their fitness level in as private a manner as possible.
Modify specific exercises to accommodate all fitness levels.
Create an energetic and fun environment for all participants.

After Class Responsibilities:

Make sure room is in order for the next class to begin.
Clean and sanitize any and all equipment used.
Answer any questions/concerns participants may have.

Additional Responsibilities:

Make sure that class begins and ends on time.
In the event that a Group Exercise Instructor cannot fulfill a scheduled class, it is his/her responsibility to find a qualified/approved substitute and notify the Fitness Director if there is a problem finding a substitute.
Group Exercise Instructors must be dependable and consistent in their class schedules. Anyone committing to teach a class should make all arrangements so that substitutes or cancellations are a rare occurrence.

  • Salary: $35,000-$40,000 40hr/week Work Schedule: Monday through Friday; flexible hours.
